National Business Development Manager

Fully remote – with occasional travel to Surrey

My client are a global Engineering and Manufacturing business that are seeking an experienced BDM from the Engineering industry. This is a field based position that will see you travelling to clients throughout the UK and with occasional travel to Europe.
Promote my clients range of products in a professional and knowledgeable manner
Constantly seeking to identify new business opportunities.
Account manage existing clients with regular calls and visits
Work to agreed targets and strive to achieve and exceed these.
Respond to customers in agreed timeframes, offer support and advice.
Create quotes and ensure that they are followed up
Update CRM system with client details.
Provide management with regular sales stat reports including customer feedback
Communicate any customer feedback to areas of the business that it is related to
Attend weekly review meetings
Attend and present products at relevant exhibitions and trade shows
Work with other teams to provide technical information and costs for tenders of contracts.
Work as a part of a team – providing support to sales colleagues.
Prepare regular reports to management with progress.

At least 5 years experience in a Business Development role in Manufacturing or Engineering
A solid understanding of technical drawings
A confident user of CRM systems
A good working knowledge of the full MS Office Suite
Must be able to travel to surrey at least once a week for the first months and more in the first 2 weeks for training
Have a full clean driving license
Happy to travel
Experience with LinkedIn for research
